Don Titmus

Biography

Don Titmus, one of the founders of the successful Phoenix Permaculture Guild, has lived and worked in the Valley of the Sun since 1981. Originally from England, Don's interest in Horticulture bloomed serving a three year apprenticeship which culminated in a National certificate in Horticulture-Landscaping.

After arriving in the States, Son worked for a landscape company for twelve years. In 1993 Don started his own garden and maintenance business.

Permaculture Credentials

2003 Graduate of Permaculture Designs Course with Scott Pittman and Larry Santoyo at Ecoversity in Sante Fe, New Mexico.
2004 Permaculture Teacher Training with Judd Hobbs and Tom Ward in Oregon.
2008 Permaculture Teacher Training with Ben Fahrer and Kat Steele in Big Sur, California.

During his tenure at the Phoenix Permaculture Guild Don designed and ran the Permaculture Design Cass for four and a half years. Now working to a full time role in Permaculture teaching consulting and designing. Don is using his business "Four Directions PermaCulture" as a platform to launch the newly formed Rio Salado Permaculture Guild.

Don's home is a true reflection of "Walking His Talk". He has created the "Bee Oasis" as an intentional community, demonstrating sustainability, Permaculture laboratory/classroom and organic garden. Don lives from the Earth and holds a deep respect for all on it.
